Quartile Inc Vs Quartile Exc in Google sheet with candystick /Bubble chart
In Google Sheets, the QUARTILE.INC and QUARTILE.EXC functions both find a requested quartile in a data set, but they use different methods:
QUARTILE.INC
Uses an inclusive method that includes the median in the calculation, and bases its calculation on a percentile range of 0 to 1 inclusive. This function is good for a comprehensive overview because it includes both the lowest and highest values in the dataset.
QUARTILE.EXC
Uses an exclusive method that excludes the median from the calculation, and bases its calculation on a percentile range of 0 to 1 exclusive. This function is good for a more focused analysis because it focuses on the middle of the dataset by excluding the lowest and highest values. For example, the formula =QUARTILE.EXC(A1:A10, 2) calculates the median (second quartile) from the range A1 to A10.
