Please read the description first.
This is (in a certain way) a kind of a (only) informative video where I show a few (basic) units, made in the 1980’s and 1990’s. It is ment for amusement.
• a cassette player 4.75 cm/sec tape run, invented by Philips Netherlands in 1962, moved to a world standard in those days and afterwards
• a FM/MW/perhaps even LW radio (LW?, I have to study that better, anyway, it is amusement)
• a set of potmeters (high value) that were used to drive the varicaps (varactors) so that you can tune in to different FM Stations (88 MC-108 MC), via capacitor variation(s) to the tank circuit
• an iconic sony FM radio of the 1980’s or 1990’s
• a transformer with a bridge rectifier, say in the order of 12-30 Volt, that is not related to any age...
I don’t have to elaborate more, because everything is told in the video. This is pure fun to see all these units again. I worked on many of them in the past, 1980’s-2000’s.
My You Tube channel trailer is here: https://youtu.be/xbgQ8T3oqh4?si=QCYBQ_VcaK1FuwdK
Type there the keywords that you like (e.g. radio/audio/amplifiers/test/filter/) in the “looking glass” = search function” and give “enter”. Via that you can find specific video’s (under the say approx 1500 published).
When you search, search always “NEWEST FIRST” to get the right overview.
You can also search via the “looking glass” on my Channel trailer via keywords like ”audio”, “radio”, “amplifier”, “filter”, “Shortwave”, “transistor”, “FET”, “oscillator”, “generator”, “switch”, “schmitt trigger” etc; so the electronic subject you are interested in.
My books about electronics & analog radio technology are available via the website of "LULU”, search for author “Ko Tilman” there.

I keep all my YT videos constant actual, so the original video’s with the most recent information are always on YouTube. Search there, and avoid my circuits that are republished, re-arranged, re-edited on other websites, giving not probable re-wiring, etc. Some persons try to find gold via my circuits. I take distance from all these fake claims. Upload 25 september 2024.
I am showing here some industrial radio & more units of these old days.
But: many of these units are still made every day now (25 sep. 2024), say the FM radio's, the power supplies, etc. The varactor tuning for HF/FM/VHF/UHF/ is also still now common, etc.
So these are, in a certain way, no obsolete circuits, only the audio cassette player is obsolete.
Though it could be very useful for radio amateur purposes.
On my YT Channel (and in my books via the LULU website, payed content) there are circuits about how to make a (mono) cassette recorder on 4.75 cm/sec, pure old school. Showing the bias oscillator and much more. 25 sep. 2024.
