I decided to teach my school Choir ‘Stand Up’ to educate them about Harriet Tubman; who’s heroic behaviour helped save so many lives escape slavery.

I wanted to help share her story and educate these young people to have a deeper understanding of black history.

learning to see the world through the eyes of others is a valuable tool; and hoped begin to heal the divide we so often have cast upon us from race, gender, religion, class and so much more.

Building empathy and compassion for one another is vital to making this world a better place for everyone.
