In today's video on OdysseyOverland4x4, I will show you step by step how to remove rust with a wire wheel, paint it with rust reformer, and prevent the rust effectively forever with this use of military grade cosmoline, as opposed to the traditional waxoil and other fluid film products. This is a superior method to POR15 since it is not applied as thick. The thickness or PRO15 can cause a moisture trap if it was not prepped properly. The beauty of this method is that paint alone usually is not enough to totally prevent the rust, since the paint's properties can change over weeks, months, or years. However, when we add a protective wax to the frame, body panels, doors and more, then the vehicle will have a true protective barrier to the elements that will last for years.
