“Covid has given an extraordinary push to the digitalization of our society. All the world now thinks a digital society is possible and desirable,” states Aldo Bisio, CEO of Vodafone Italia, in a conversation in the Executive Chats series with Rector Gianmario Verona.

Regards digitalization, he feels Italy needs “a simplification of rules for infrastructure, a push forward on 5G technologies and that the government addresses the question of digital skills.”

Bisio then highlights the importance of the collaboration with the Vodafone Chair in Machine Learning & Data Science at Bocconi, assigned to Professor Riccardo Zecchina, and how “it has helped us rethink our AI and machine learning techniques.”
