The more that I revisit my old tutorial on this subject the more I wanted to release an improved version of it. I feel that this version gets more to the point and offers more rich and valuable information to get you up and running smoothly even quicker.
Also, the differences in my monitors isn't normally that bad. I had rolled back my Nvidia driver shortly before this and that caused some issues.
