The Tribe Of Djembe Chronicle
One Fine African Day, in a land far away, The Emperor woke up and say. Let our Music play. For he had gathered around him the greatest Musicians and Artists in the land. They started schools and enlightened the people to do great works. They laid down a Riddim and Vibration that the world had never heard before. And the greatest to the smallest were happy in this land. And every night, after a royal days work, the Wisemen gathered with Artists, Singer, poets, story tellers, musicians. They shared knowledge and spoke on their favorite subjects; science, wisdom, justice, love, music, and methods to improve The Beloved Community. But the Prophets had seen the future and knew that The Emperor’s wealth and success would draw invaders looking for Gold and Diamonds where there was none. The Empire was Doomed. So the Wisemen decided to save their Greatest Treasure; the Knowledge and Culture, through Music and Art. Artists were asked to go into the world and teach their Riddims and Vibrations to all. They became the first Walking Africans who told stories and sung songs everywhere in the Ancient world from Egypt to India, from Greece to Spain. And the War came. Like all fights for survival, there were great feats of Bravery and unimaginable sacrifice. The youngest, smartest, bravest and the best throw themselves into the Fire that was the War only to be burned up like great blocks of timber being consumed as a Great House burns to the ground. Their heat and passion were retold in stories for centuries to come, but after they were gone, the house that they had built crumbled into cold asses only to be blown away by the wind like it never existed. 5000 Years later the music and the people are dispersed to all corners of the World. But their Spirit still come together in various times and various places. We dedicate ourselves and our Souls to the ancient Riddims and Vibrations of the Tribe of Djembe.
