NXP’s evaluation kit for the i.MX quad-core 8M Plus applications processor provides a platform for comprehensive evaluation of the i.MX 8M Plus Quad,Dual and i.MX 8M Plus QuadLite applications processors. Empowered by the NXP i.MX 8M plus, the processor family includes up to four Arm® Cortex®-A53 processors with a Neural Processing Unit operating at up to 2.3 tera operations per second. Also included are dual image signal processors and two camera inputs for an advanced vision system as well as a vast array of multimedia capabilities. Real-time control is possible with the Cortex-M7 and robust control networks are supported by dual CAN FD and dual Gigabit Ethernet. As a result, the evaluation kit for the i.MX quad-core 8M Plus delivers high performance with power efficiency, machine learning and voice and vision capabilities, advanced multimedia interfaces as well as Wi-Fi and bluetooth for connectivity out-of-the box. The two-board solution consists of a compact 2.3 by 2.3 inch compute module and a larger base board that brings out the broad connectivity that is needed for product evaluation. The compute module is a proven, compact reference to accelerate your own design. The evaluation kit contains the i.MX 8M plus evaluation board, power supply, two USB cables, a USB adapter, software and a quick start guide. The tools and operating systems supported by the evaluation kit include linux, android and FreeRTOS, lowering the barriers for product prototyping.
