Daryle Singletary, one of the all-time great country singers has passed away. Prayers and sympathy go out to Daryle's wife and children, and to his surviving family members.

Emphasis Records artist Stevie Hawkins, had the honor of playing drums and singing backup vocals for Singletary, 2008-2013. Hawkins can be heard playing drums on Singletary's, "Rockin' In The County" album released 2010 by eOne Music. From 2010 to 2013, Hawkins performed double-duty as tour manager and drummer until deciding a break from touring was necessary. Singletary and Hawkins spent many hours and days together, toured all over the country and overseas, had a lot of fun and helped each other through some of life's rough patches, such as close friends do. Hawkins said; "Daryle's faith in me as person, a musician, and handler of his business affairs will always be appreciated. The memories of the time and music we shared will forever be cherished."

Rest in peace, Daryle Singletary.
