They are designed to be installed by either a mechanically inclined DIYer or a local upholstery shop in your area. With many of our upholstery kits, we offer extra matching vinyl material for the door panels/inserts. Installing this material can be difficult so we made this Tech Tips video to show you how we pattern and install door panel inserts on a 2004-2007 Toyota Highlander. Most of the steps that you see in this video are universal concepts that can be used for other vehicles as well.

Installing this Highlander kit is an advanced DIY project that will require basic hand tools, hog rings, hog ring pliers, upholstery spray glue, a pneumatic upholstery stapler, and optionally an upholstery or clothing steamer for optimal fitment. In this specific door panel application, you will also want to have some rivets on hand to re-attach the window seal after the installation.
