The court jester character currently has no name but ill refer to him as CJ. so CJ was a kid at a very poor/lowerclass orphanage in the kingdom. The king specifically "adopted" him to make him a jester - aka, the king was a bitch and said hey this kid looks funny with his x marks i think ill make use of that. anyway CJ didn't want this and was basically forced into the job.

however, CJ eventually decided he wanted to kill the king essentially as revenge. The first half of the video is actually a flashback of him trying to do that, but when he wakes up he finds he's covered in vines and roots and on a strange tree-like platform. turns out he fell asleep after being exiled for attempting murder n shit and he wakes up bc a fucked up demon has discovered him.

the demon takes the form of a jester bc. thats not only CJ's job, but his biggest source of his anger, which is what drew the creature there in the first place. The demon "eats" CJ, but really, it sort of absorbs him and gives him the abilities he desires in exchange for giving the demon a "host" body. CJ proceeds to go back and fuck over the kingdom with his newfound powers and usurp the throne...however, this also basically means the demon is now king bc CJ is still just a pawn, even if he got what he wanted he's still at the mercy of his new powers. hes still a jester, even if just in the "hes a fool" sense. happy story!
