I create a Python program that calculates the musical notes being played in a song and give each note an action within Minecraft. I explain basically how the program works with simple diagrams.
By using the Fourier Transform, we can break down any sound into the sine waves that make up that sound. By doing this we can determine what notes are being played in a piece of music by looking for sine waves that have the same frequencies as musical notes.
