Part of the Chinese culture is the "red" culture with "red" songs or "revolutionary" songs being unique representatives of the culture. Though the lyrics may seem strange or outdated by today's standard, if you keep an open mind, you may still be able to enjoy the beautiful music and perhaps witness a small part of history.
